Model a Flexible Demand with PAVG Event
This example is valid only for a DCUCOPF scenario.
1. Model a flexible demand using the PAVG event
To create a PAVG
event, click on from the context menu of the electric demand as shown in Figure 1. Once the event is created, the Value
of the event defines the constraint on the demand, which limits the average power demand over the given time horizon.
For example, let’s assume we want to model a flexible demand with a value of 132 MWh per day using a time horizon of 24 hours and a horizon timestep of one hour. The PAVG
value should be set to 5.5 MW, which is the result of dividing 132 MWh by 24 hours.
