Network Connectivity & Security Settings

Please note that an internet connection may be required for accessing some services and for updating the certified time of your CodeMeter license. This connectivity ensures that you can fully utilize the array of features SAInt offers and keep your licenses up-to-date. Please refer to Table 1 in the Appendix to view a list of URLs that SAInt may connect to while operating.

1. Certified Time of CodeMeter Container

The certified time of your container is obtained from a trusted time server on the internet operated by WIBU-SYSTEMS AG to validate your licenses. Each time you launch SAInt, the application will attempt to connect to the internet to update the certified time on your container. If this update is not successful within 30 days, the application will not start until it can establish an internet connection to the time server. The URLs for the CodeMeter time servers are:

If your connection to the CodeMeter Time Server is through a proxy server, you may need to adjust your proxy settings.

For more details, refer to the CodeMeter WebAdmin documentation using the following URL after you have installed the CodeMeter Runtime Kit: http://localhost:22352/$help/CmUserHelp/us/proxy.html

2. Troubleshooting Installation and Licensing

While not expected, the installation process might occasionally face interruptions due to security settings on your machine. Examples of security settings that could cause friction include:

  • Permission Levels: User accounts with restricted permissions may not have access to all necessary sections of the file system. Please make sure to install the software with Full Administrator rights.

  • Antivirus Programs: Some antivirus software may flag installation files and prevent them from executing.

  • Firewall Restrictions: Firewalls might block the connection to external servers when activating licenses or connecting USB dongles.

  • Blocked Connectivity: Network settings that prevent CodeMeter from connecting to time servers for updating the certified time.
